Always searching for Wonderland
And I often find Wonderland in the stories and characters I am creating. Inspired by different fairytales, mythologies and folktales, I try to create worlds that not only feel magical and whimsical, but also tell tales of humanity, love and monsters with sadness in their eyes. I strive to create characters, that represent the very real diversity of our world - a place where everyone is welcome.
Right now I am working on an illustrated novel, City of Dreams. An adult fantasy set in modern Paris, where our nightmares are out to not only haunt, but also to hunt us at night. Two friends are pulled into an adventure filled with mysteries and secrets, which are putting their friendship to a test.
When I am not writing or drawing, you can see me enjoying cinema, ranting about theme parks, be very passionate about Eurovision or reading a book at night. My life would probably be a musical, based on the hundreds of playlists I’ve created for myself and my stories.
Before becoming a freelance artist, I studied Animation & Game Design at Hochschule Darmstadt and finished my studies with a Bachelor of Arts.
